And it should be pointed out that this isn't the best year to be going after legit role pieces. Teams have space this summer and will drive up the prices. Like I dont think you can get brooke lopez for 4 million again

Doesn’t the trade going down after the draft also allow the Lakers to have their 1st round pick in 2020 available to trade before that draft since technically they would be trading the player drafted’s contract/rights rather than the pick itself?

They’re going to have to fill out their roster with older guys like Tyson Chandler, R. Rondo, K. Korver, etc.
