So now that more details have come out of the trade, the Pels have easily won this trade, right?
Wont know for a few years. Lakers have to win a championship the next couple of years to make it worth it. I like the deal for our Pels though. Quite a haul considering the circumstances Rich Paul put us in.

He changed his mind after lebron signed. He all of a sudden wants to play for Lakers now? Lol please.
That’s not exactly true. He was still demanding the Lakers after Lebron signed iirc

Y’all are gonna be really good
I think spending the money on good role players is all y’all need to compete next year
The league is wide open

Wow lotsa people talking about how bad this trade will be for lake show due to timing/lack of depth/cap space. Pelinka might be first GM to get fired after trading for a perennial Allstar
Yikes.
Yikes.

I'm not even say this as sour grapes, AD getting injured will get old fast for you.

AD getting injured
Not even that. Dude gets hit and has to go back to the locker room for entire halfs.

Oh so he'll play for Clips then, much more depth and as its presently constructed they should be able to give more money.

Yep, if you get him there healthy the two whole times he's been he's put up top 5 all time numbers.

How about we correct the OP if this is a Woj thread?
quote:
For now, expectation is Anthony Davis trade will be completed on July 6, league sources tell @BobbyMarks42 and me. Assuming Davis declines to void $4M trade bonus, this leaves Lakers with $23.7M in space. There is chance that could be amended to July 30, but it’s still 6th now.
and
quote:
If Pelicans and Lakers waited until July 30 to complete trade, Lakers could’ve had $32.5M in cap space --- enough to pursue a max level free agent. By waiting 30 days, Lakers would be acting like a team over the cap and thus allowed to use 4th overall pick in draft as salary.
Just sayin...

He’s been productive in the playoffs, no doubt
But it’s a damn small sample size
It got exhausting defending the dude on here, honestly. As talented as he is - and he is really frickin good - I’m actually relieved to see him go.

I’d say we are pretty fricking stoked. Our future is bright. The Lakers, not so much.

Good points
think lake show gonna wait too see if they can sign a max then if so, ask pels to wait until 30
if they don't get FA, pels will sign on July 6.
that why no one really knows.
I'm waiting for my guy to tell me what's going on bc I'm having an aneurysm at too young an age

Why in the hell would we want to help the FakeShow get a third man?
The only way I allow it to be pushed back is if Kuzma packs his shite along with the rest.
