Doc Rivers, the greatest NBA coach ever has been eliminated, yet again.

I blame the lingering effects of the painful emotional damage caused by Donald Sterling for all Doc’s early playoff exits.

Also, Chris Paul has been hampered greatly by that “public” private convo as well and will never get a ring because of it.

Damn you Donald Sterling

Doc Rivers and Ken Hitchcock are neck and neck in terms of who got the most mileage out of winning a single championship.

In a genius coaching move, Doc renamed Big Baby to Cry Baby, and that sparked the 2008 Celtics championship run.

Doc

Yep, losing that foreign dude with the long arse name to injury meant there was no way the Bucks could overcome the Pacers big 3 ( ) even with Doc’s superior coaching.

Funny how it had the similar "massive underachievers" hallmark of other Doc Rivers' teams.

He had an incredible roster with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo, and Tony Allen and also had Tom Thibodeau as his lead assistant to run the team for him.

That’s an interesting way to describe the 2nd best player in the world.

He took over the team at 30-13 and couldn’t reach 50 wins. This is an art that cannot be taught

People used to rag on Lenny Wilkens for being an overrated coach, but he never wasted the kind of talent year in and year out that Doc does.

That was a team that you or I might have been able to "coach" to a championship.

I don't think that Doc is a bad coach, but I get tired of the media acting like he's a great coach. He's a middle of the pack coach in a profession where middle of the pack coaches aren't supposed to last even half as long as he has.
