Curtis' program is better than every other one in the state ... OK.
It's one class out of 5 in the old system. In this new system we'll have probably 3 or 4 games that are blowouts.
See the difference? Grin and bear so we can have a better product overall.
ETA: I love how U-High, AKA an LSU feeder school is playing victim.

Hey, my two kids had 5 years in the playoffs between them (1 year overlap) and got eliminated by Curtis 3 times, at Calvary and at ECA. Cest la vie
You play the hand your dealt. I'm proud of them

Attribute that TD to him keeping his first team in with less than 2 minutes left and a heck of a tackle their OT made on my son to spring that run. And berating the refs over every single call even up 4 scores. Yep, exudes class.
Don't be that guy. We've all got our arse kicked by a team that we had no business being on the same field, much less in the game with.

Not to mention it wasn't the starters. The kid that scored had literally not played a snap all game. They put him in that one play and he broke it for 80.

JT keeping it classy, going for 2 up 25-0 with 6 minutes left in the game. Surely he can't wonder why everyone hates his program so much?
With all due respect, what were you saying 2 weeks ago when uhigh was throwing bombs up 30 in the 4th quarter?

Guys at work told me U high was going to whip JC. They don't have near enough talent to even keep this close; of course very few in this state could keep it close.

Selective memory.....and nobody likes U High either.

Imo uhigh came out over confident. I expect they are a bit better than the score. They need to play tougher regular season games.

Mr b
You should be proud of your son!
Defensive MVP on team as far as many are concerned,
Hope he gets a chance to keep playing
Wish he would have kicked tonight

I hate that kids out here leave to play for JT, but I respect the program he has built and understand that kids want to play for titles. Glad for Kenny Young, good kid with a bright future but I sure wish he would have stayed home to play.

So your son got pancaked? That sucks
There's such a thing as losing with class too
Since when is an OT tackling a defender the same as getting pancaked? In case you're scratching your head trying to figure it out, its not. Its a clear as day holding call.
Im also still wondering how his comment has anything to do with "losing with class"... The word "class" is so over used these days that it practically means jackshit anymore.

The guy sounded like a total bitch. I was pulling for U lab, but Curtis played a great game. They got out played tonight and it happens to Curtis opponents week in and week out. Crying about holding calls when you're down 30 makes you sound like a cry baby. And saying JC left the starters in when he clearly had subbed in the younger kids and they happened to break a 80 yd TD, is silly.

You're right I read it backwards.

Just home from the game and figured I'd put in my 2 cents. I felt like UHS defense played about as well as they could. Hung in there until got gassed. I was very surprised that our offense wasn't able to score. Seemed like we would get a couple first dowms and then stall.
Manny had some nice scrambles, kept some drives going, but we must have had 6 drops. I thought JC's secondary was VERY good. Safety has great ball skills, and corners were knocking balls out of receivers hands all night.
Kenny Young is VERY good. Very aggresive and a sure tackler.
Having said that, it was 6-0 until the last play of the first half, and those that saw the replay said the guy was down on 1/2 yard line on that play that made it 13-0. May have been a big boost going into halftime as a 1 score game. They get a long drive to start 3rd qtr, but we get a stop on 4th and short. Get the ball, Long pass with a drop(good play on ball by corner?) and then the bad snap on the punt gives em 1st and goal at 3. Ballgame at that point.
No sour grapes here, they are the best program in the state and wore us down as the game went on. Better team won. Cubs had a good season.

How you forget how much U-High ran up the score on Parkview two weeks before.

When JC wins a state title, does the players feel happy, excited or glad? Or does it just feels like another regular win?
a Bother in law with a Curtis alumni that said when they lost to us (Salmen) it was a weird feeling when they returned back to school because they usually had their ring ceremony that day. It was just a normal practice to them to pick out their state when they got back to school
