fournette would have the same success if he was just as tall, strong, fast, quick, had the same tank like measurables

Fournette’s measurables and talent were just fine.

dedication to off-season training

This is where he failed, that and diet. While Henry follows an intense healthy diet, Fournette was chowing down on Nola food

Steroids and genetic hormones shoved down your throat in shot into your booty since you were 5 years old does wonders to your “genetics”! Everyone who has ever known him has known he has had so much “help” lance armstrong would even blush!

Do you realize how fricking stupid and petty this sounds?

The guy's physical training and diet regimen are well documented.

Henry also was not the starter until his third season.

Still bothered that Nick/Lane stopped handing him the ball v OSU. He was gaining 7 YPC but only ended up with 13 touches.

Every time I think of Henry, I wonder when another coach at high level college will forget their stereotypes and let another guy who's too tall, runs too upright, better suited for defense play RB just to see what happens.

Every year I think teams should draft a QB in the 6th round and see if they win 7 Super Bowls

He's too 10 in rushing yards. 1 touchdown away from tying Marcus Allen for 3rd in all-time touchdowns.

It was probably only 2-3 years ago, we were debating on this board rather he would make the HOF. There is no longer a debate. He could retire today and be a lock for 1st ballot.

His position on Derrick Henry might be the worst position he has ever taken.

Doesn't he spend close to 7 figures on maintaining his body every year? Lebron has shown if you have the money you can push Father Time back 5-10 years.

I wonder how many other edge rushers could’ve been all-time great RBs. I bet there are a few.

Henry is already top 5 and in conversation. Seems like he could have another great year or two left.

For perspective, Darren McFadden is a career 5,421 guy. Reggie Bush is at 5,490.
Also for perspective, he's put up more than those 5,464 yards in the last 60 games (3.5 seasons)

27 of those games in Tennessee where he was the only weapon and couldn't dominate like he can in Baltimore

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone, in terms of an abnormal size to position, stay healthy like Derrick Henry has.

He’s so big for a RB and actually runs high, but never seems to get hurt. I think I remember one semi-serious injury he’s had in his entire life.

Dude is extremely lucky to avoid that and also takes care of his body. I think both tie together. He avoids contact well when necessary, which is even crazier for someone his size. And then he will run you over when necessary.

Yeah, he's an anomaly for sure.
