Yeah, he's egotistical. But, if him doing this helps some people find cancer early and get treatment, then it is well worth it.
Leave it to Prime to have a full-blown press conference for this though

I want an example of a current head football coach at a major university getting cancer while coaching and there is no press conference

After taking over a 1-11 team? Seams pretty good. Saban was 12-11 his first two years at Michigan State. BK was 10-12 his first two seasons at Bowling Green.
You cannot compare the pre transfer portal to current times. It was not possible to turn your roster over in a year back then. You were looking at 2-3 years to re-build a roster. That 1-11 team had over 50 players transfer out, it was almost an entirely new roster with Hunter and Sanders. They likely would have been 3-4 win team the next year if this was pre transfer portal.

Nah…they’ll be back when CU loses their next game, but not a moment sooner. ??

Glad he is making a recovery!

What was Saban's and BKs NIL situation like at those schools? How many immediate transfers were they able to use.
You can't compare today's game with 20+ years ago.

If he had announced he was terminally ill the same people would be bitching about him calling a press conference because they don’t like his ego and flash, they don’t like what he did with his sons and they don’t like the culture of his program.

Is he staying at Colorado?

to the reality he battled bladder cancer and still didn’t quit
I'm glad he's better but why would he quit coaching if he's been cured? He did the appropriate thing and took time off to recover.

Some people are just weak insecure beings
I thought Deion would fail, I was wrong
I thought president Tate would be a bad lsu president, I was wrong
I didn’t expect burrow to make such a huge jump after his first year, I was wrong
I will never be able to respect someone that can’t admit they were wrong even on the stupid internet.

Sure. But the guy I'm responding to said he is not a good football coach and the only reason he gave to back it up is because he is 13-12. The transfer portal is a part of football now and it factors into what makes a good coach. If he wants to make the claim that Sanders isn't a good football coach, he needs to use something other than "he turned around a 1-11 team" because that's not a very good argument.

The blind hatred for all things Deion is nuts. Any coach who steps away and is revealed to have been battling cancer will be a major deal.

Great news. Good for prime time

He had the easiest out ever with cancer and still stayed.

So something he could have released with a statement

Ok fine, then I won't use records. That guy needs to them explain to me how turning a 1-11 team into a 9-4 team in two years makes him a bad coach.
