Right now the MLBN is talking about yall trading for bumgarner

Makes sense. We need a lefty in the rotation and the lefties left in free agency aren’t great

I’d be ok with giving up Tucker for Madbum

Verlander
Cole
Bumgarner
James

We shouldn’t need to give up Tucker for him with 1 year left on his deal

I would be pretty pissed if we did

This would make me puke. One year of a beat-up madbum for a potential franchise maker?

Granted, bumgarner was a franchise maker, but he’s got a shite ton of innings in that shoulder.

I’d like to have him, but not for Tucker. I’d say a Kemp and lower level arm with lots of upside.

Or maybe Diaz and JB.. then bring back Marwin.

I agree. Masrtin or Perez would be fine to give up, but not Tucker.

Didn’t realize he only had one year left.

The Tampa Bay #Rays sign veteran starter Charlie Morton to a two-year, $30 million contract, per @JeffPassan. The Houston #Astros had offered one year and a vesting option to retain him

I ain't mad. He's 35 with a lengthy injury history. Can't blame Luhnow for offering 1 year with a vesting if he stayed healthy. And can't blame Morton for taking the guaranteed 2nd year.

I imagine they think Whitley is going to contribute this year. Well still probably sign like Lance Lynn or something and Roll with:

Verlander
Cole
Lynn
McHugh
Peacock

Until Whitley gets called up

Not to mention Morton will be closer to his family now. Didn’t I read where his wife and kids live in FL?
