I agree that our bats just can't go dead in the most important moment of the season.

But that's what has happened! The Astros bats are dead, dead, dead and they ain't coming back.

That's how I see it.

If they can't hit Gray today then I will officially be worried. During the summer when Gray was still in Oakland and was rumored to be part of a trade to the Astros, the Astros faced him in Oakland and blasted him for 5 runs in the 1st inning, at which point the DAT officially said "no bueno" to a trade for Gray

He has a 3.13 ERA vs Houston in 37.1 innings over the last 3 season 3-1 in 6 starts

Most Yankee fans are bandwagon fans... they haven't had a losing season in like 20 years. Even if you've been a fan your whole life you still became one bc they were good when you were young.

I was born in 1977. The Yankees of the 80's weren't terrible but were mediocre. It was much more appealing to be a Mets fan during those times than a Yankees fan.

But to your point, in my 40 years on this planet, the Yankees have posted a losing record only 6-7 times. The last one being 1992

Yea completely different team from this year to the previous two. Ripped his tits the only time they saw him this year.

I just don’t know what to expect with LMJ. Yankees are mad patient so if he isn’t throwing his curveball for strikes early in the count he might get a quick hook. Hopefully he trusts his fastball some today and can work ahead. I don’t see a scenario where they allow him to get beat up to the tune of 4 runs or so. Peacock will be stretching and ready to start tossing the very first sign of trouble imo.

TBH I've been more turned off by the salty Astros fans.

You guys are in the driver's seat for this series yet cannot take the simple fact that your team had a tough night. This is the nature of playoff baseball,Get over it!

The Yankees lost a game to Cleveland in extras after blowing 10 chances to score 1 run. shite happens.

Quit lashing out at people

Let's hope the baseball gods are in our favor the rest of the series. They clearly were on the other side last night

You didn't hurt shite homeboy.

You've only proven that some Astros fans are not accustomed to the ebbs and flows of playoff baseball

For a few games. We've had lulls like this occasionally this year.

Not going to say it's impossible, but it is highly improbable. We've had a historic offense this year.

So fans in Mississippi who follow the Braves are bandwagon fans? Are they not allowed to root for a team just because they don't have a sports team?

No, a fan from Mississippi cheering for the Braves is completely rational, as they are the closest team, regionally-speaking. I could also understand a MS resident being an Astros fan, or a Cubs fan, given that the Cubs are always on TV and easy to follow.

However, a MS resident who decides to become a Red Sox or Yankees fan is 100% a bandwagon fan. They're just picking a random team that's successful. That is the definition of "bandwagon."

So posting in the MSB during the regular season proves you're a true fan?

I never said that. I'm talking about the fans that did nothing more than glance at league standings starting in August... once they see their team is a contender, they brush off the crusty Yankees cap and fine tune their troll skills.
