Sits for three straight games in the middle of a tightly contested playoff race.
And let’s go ahead and give our best hitter a rest day while we’re at it.

Interesting how dusty only considers the rest of a select few players and cares no further for the other players.
What would our pitching staff look like with more run support earlier in the year? Where would we be if we prioritized consistent offense over micro-managed defense-only strategies employed by our esteemed manager?

Report yesterday said he was fighting soreness.
So yes, He dead.

Yep. Sitting our best hitter in a must win game to rest him even though there's an off day tomorrow.

Just unreal. The pos is just giving us all the middle finger. He's throwing this...I'm convinced.

10 games left and Alvarez sitting with an off day tomorrow?
This is not a line up by a Manager wanting to win.
EVERY SINGLE ASTROS player should be in front of every camera available -- screaming that Dusty should be fired.

Maybe they all want to just go home next Sunday night. Dusty probably already has the flight booked from Phoenix to Sacramento.

On Yordan Alvarez, Dusty Baker said “I haven’t liked how he moved, haven’t liked how he’s swung.” Baker said he’s available today, but is treating this much like he did with Kyle Tucker on Sunday in Kansas City.

Dusty Baker: "I just decided to give him today off and then he'll be good through the season, much like I did with Tucker. Sometimes you have to maybe sacrifice one game for the next nine. From my experience, I've seen it be very beneficial not only physically but mentally, too."

It is very possible Baker and his people have been in discussion with Astros that are not going the way he wants, thus this shite
He can leave this job like every other one
The difference being that these guys overcame him enough to win it all

These are the words of a man whose arse is totally eaten up with his own egotistical delusion.
He truly believes the Astros won last year all because of him. NOT despite him.
He’s watched Million Dollar Arm and Trouble with The Curve so many times he actually believes he can see and hear things no one else can see and hear.
I don’t doubt he sees and hears things no one else does. I just doubt those things are reality.

Tha frick!? We can't be sacrificing any games. Maybe if we had beat up on the shitty A's and Royals but that didn't happen.

It’s pretty bad when you are surprised to not be losing a game or get a win.
Posted on 9/20/23 at 12:23 pm to Floating Change Up
Baker is a fraud. Always has been. If you don’t see how he’s always left on bad terms from every organization he’s managed, then you’re not paying attention. It’s never his fault, and there is always some national media sycophant ready to play the bleeding heart violin for him.
In his previous four stops, his last year was a pennant winner, a 96-loss season, a wild-card loser and an NLDS loser. What does that say when 3 of the 4 teams he managed let him go after reaching the postseason? One is fluke, two is a coincidence, three is a trend.

Boys I get the frustration here but let's keep in mind this is a very long season and we have to keep these guys fresh for the stretch run when the games really matter.
Posted on 9/20/23 at 12:36 pm to Tiger Ryno
Yes, we’ll thank him later

Using Dusty logic, we should rest all of our pitchers too
