We have objectively been playing like shite. Nobody can really dispute that.

At one time , the Oakland A's were 11.5 games behind the Astros.

My sources indicated that the offense is waiting for its MVP to get back in the lineup before going on a 2+ month tear

The Oakland A's were cutting into that 11.5 game lead long before the MVP got hurt. The A's will not be slowing down anytime soon.

Team plane will be making a pit stop in Cincinnati on the flight to Seattle so all is well. Have some faith boys

That ain't a pit stop, that's a wrong turn at Albuquerque. Lol!

We can somewhat salvage August if we close with winning over half of the rest of the games. Everything is out of sorts, hitting, pitching and our bullpen. We need a rallying point. Can we turn the Juices roof backwards.

This team now, as it stands, couldnt beat NYY, CLE, OAK, and BOS would be a shite show.

Theyve taken any notion of an offensive philosophy and chucked it for bash ball. They dont take advantage of situations afforded them by defensive alignments, they cant hit and run, because their majority right side lineup cant hit behind a runner, or to the opposite field in general.
Instead, time after time, they over swing, come over the top and hit weak ground balls.

Just glaring deficiencies at DH, C, and LF. Dont get me started on Hinch, he sucked at AZ, and has been exposed without Alex Cora.

Since no one gives a crap about my opinion, rightfully so, wanted to ask you guys if we think they'll win tonight? I'm honestly not sure.

I suspect verlander will be at his best.

There is still a whole lot of ball left.

6 weeks is an eternity.
NY yankees not exactly hitting their stride either.

Injuries have clobbered Yankees, seattle mariners and now Houston.
Remember, the mariners opened like world beaters.

It's still a 4 team race for 3 spots.
Winner avoids 1 game playoff and the red Sox.
Biggest loser misses out on playoff.
I think this verlander outing is the biggest game in years for Houston. If A's lose, they can still win 15 of next 22.
If Houston drops another one with the ace going then Seattle is going to have 3 home games to go crazy. This time next week, Houston can end up in "4th place" in 3 team wild card race with Oakland, Yankees, Seattle, or 1st place in west.

A pissed off Verlander might be capable of a great start but his teammates would be required to score runs so...

He has been harping on getting that 200th win ever since the released that statement about Kate Upton. His priorities haven’t been the same since.

I dreamt that Tucker had a 13 RBI game. Skeptical about it happening though

Yeah, he’d probably have to crack the lineup for it to happen.
