Any idea how Jon Kemmer projects defensively? Looking at his numbers in Fresno, he has some swing and miss in his game (31% k rate). However, he has a solid OBP (.414) AVG (.315) and power (15 HR's).

They are making it seem like Oakland was in love with Matteo. It was mentioned in the thread yesterday but sometimes clubs just fall in love with certain prospects.

They clearly have won the deadline sweepstakes the past two seasons.
Cubs have been a close second... but the Yankees have been super in negotiating deals to both strengthen their big-league roster this year and the farm last year.
