I'm not saying we gave away a Hof player in Teo. But I think the Jays getting him for 2 months of Liriano is a steal on their end. 23 year old outfielder with some power in his bat, base stealing ability, showing decent plate discipline in AAA.

With the way the ball Flys at Rogers Center, Teo probably hits 20 homers.

I will go on record as saying that the Liriano move is a good one, as long as he accepts the role.

If he does and has success, he is likely re-signable.

Either do it or you're stuck with Sipp or Guadan in the playoffs in LH situations. It's not like Liriano is coming in to be #2 in the rotation

Teo is going to be a good player. Luhnow isnt going to give him away without a larger structure in mind. ESPECIALLY with giving away Aoki

It was definitely a good trade for Toronto.

I think that trade is all you need to know about how much of a haul a deal for Britton will take.

And I agree with you... he probably won't be a perennial All-Star, but he will make a quality everyday outfield.

These are not Sipp/Guadan numbers

No need psycho analyze the Liriano deal. Sipp could not get anyone out. Pure and simple, it had to be done, rental or not.

So we have Reddick (through 2020), Springer (2020), Marisnick (2020), and Fisher right now. With Tucker coming up through the system quickly. Teo is just providing depth until at least 2020. I'll take a talented rental that fills a need all day.

Steve Phillips is one of the worst GMs in baseball history so there's that.

I do hope there's one more move left tho

Idk. I just can't say it's a good deal without having seen Liriano out of the pen. He's a project.
