All that money spent on Fatass Soto just to lose the opening series!

Was it as good a return as when they dealt Tucker?

Pitching was great in the series. Offense needs some work.

Suck is such a relative term. In Houston for an Indian “Dot” wedding tonight. Did not follow the game

If pitching is this good, this team is going to be in the thick of the AL come Oct

Enjoy. And I’m an old man pessimist from way back

We took 2 out of 3 from a team with Soto on it

My recap/thoughts that very few, or no one cares about:
- starting pitching was nails
- Alex Cintron is a war criminal and should be tried as such
- Walker hits the ball hard, but I don’t think he can hit a slider for shite. Almost as bad as Peña when it comes to sliders out of the zone. Not really worried about his bat though. I think they will find the holes soon enough
- Dezenzo had some awful ABs last night. Baw needs some tee work
- Paredes is the only one that can work a count. Need more of that
- We need to add an arm to the Abreu/Hader experience. They will probably lose a handful of games if the lead is 2 runs or less when the ball is in their hands

Knowing how many of our players took awhile to get going the past few years, we should prob wait til June at the earliest before melting about Walker

He has had some pretty bad ab in big spots in the first 2 games but he’s also made hard contact in other AB’s and that’s the sort of thing that evens out after more and more plate appearances

If Yainer can produce like last year and Peña’s improvement is for real, there is no reason not to have playoff ambitions with this squad. Injury luck is also a big factor of course

Baseball is awesome. We’ll be on the other end of a series like this in the season but for now I’ll enjoy it.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen someone hit the ball as hard as Walker does consistently. (besides Yordan). I think he will absurd the Crawford boxes all year long. It’s refreshing to have a solid all around First Baseman.

I agree with all of this.

I was pleasantly surprised with the series. Seems like a lot of fine tuning is needed, but overall a solid B. Besides innings 8 and 9 of game 2, I’d give them a B+.

The Abreu Hader finish scares the shite out of me.

LMJ strikes out the side in the 1st, sitting around 93-95 mph. And spinning the Knucke curve
