I know Puig has the big arm but he's not otherwise a plus fielder is he?

No, he's nothing special in the OF.

I think Puig could work well in Houston... I thought he or Cespedes could be potential under the radar options.

There's no reason Tucker can't play CF to allow for Puig and hopefully Brantley to cover the corners.

It makes more sense to me that the Astros would push for Puig if they couldn't sign Brantley to a short-term deal. Tucker has played in one major league game at CF (a game he didn't start in 2018) and the thought of Tucker flanked by Brantley and Puig doesn't sound like a good answer from a defensive standpoint. Think Click et al. have to find a starting CF and corner OF this offseason.

Yeah I think Tucker in center would really be pushing it defensively, especially with two average corner OFs

Looks like Eddie Rosario is on waivers, gonna be a lot of good players that get let go/non tendered. Rosario would be a nice fit in the OF for us

Don't know how much he would cost but I would love Rosario.

I don't want me no gross and disgusting bat licker in an Astros uniform.

Seriously...Puig...nope. Poison in the clubhouse. Gross and disgusting. Not sure how someone got zany personality out of him. He's just weird.

He's due a $9.6 million salary this season. I feel like he ends up back with the Twins at a lesser number. Can't see anyone claiming him... one can dream though.

Doesn't seem TOO out of line for a 29 year old who's received MVP votes the last two seasons.

But... he hardly ever walks and is a net negative defender.

The Astros have requested unconditional release waivers on Cy Sneed, who is headed to play for Tokyo Yakult Swallows. The 40-man roster is at 38.

Yukon Cornelius goes to Japan. He can handle Bumbles, let’s see how he does with Godzilla.

Rosario cleared waivers. The Twins can now negotiate a lower figure than his arbitration salary or non-tender him which would make him a free agent.

The waiver wire has been interesting this year with productive players like Brad Hand and Rosario going unclaimed at somewhat reasonable salaries.

He was tendered a contract. I had honestly forgot he existed.

I seem to recall thinking he had potential prior to injury

Came from Jays I think, maybe the Fisher deal?

Rays. One of Luhnow's last moves before he was ousted. Pruitt had looked pretty good in a handful of games during ST before he got injured.
