Looks like Jack Mayfield's days are done.

Damn. Crane really pissed off the Ryans.

Seems like a good dude. Wish he could hit.

Which app did you purchase, the MLB At Bat App or the Sirius XM app?
I went with Sirius XM. It's about the same price, and you get hundreds of XM channels for the remainder of the year.

I did the MLB app, mainly to listing to a game in the Oakland series I was on the road for, and forgot to cancel before the trial ended... so that’s what I’ll be using this year haha

Rosenthal wrote an article titled “fun with Lemahieu” and listed 2 teams that haven’t been linked with him that might be interested, the Dodgers and....us
quote:
Any Astros interest in LeMahieu, meanwhile, would hinge on whether the team can trade shortstop Carlos Correa, enabling Alex Bregman to move to short and opening up third. The Astros, according to sources, are again floating Correa in trade discussions, knowing it is unlikely they will sign him before he reaches free agency at the end of the season.
A trade of Correa, combined with the expected loss of Springer, would leave the Astros down two superstars — three if you count right-hander Justin Verlander, who is likely to miss the entire season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. LeMahieu could help fill the void, but agents say the Astros are balking at signing any free agents who received qualifying offers, not wanting to sacrifice another draft pick after losing their top two choices in both 2020 and ‘21 as part of their penalties for illegal sign stealing.
LeMahieu to Houston, then, would appear unlikely, but at this early stage of the offseason teams are exploring a wide range of options, playing the what-if game. Surprising moves are coming. It’s just a matter of when.

The Astros are going to invest in Correa, and before this past season, I would not have been in total agreeance, but he proved his worth to me this year.

Seems purely speculative to me. I also just don’t see them turning around and shelling out something like 60-70m for LeMahieu after trading Correa
The national media in general has been extremely dismissive of any players wanting to stay in Houston and Rosenthal is doing it again with Correa and others with Brantley, even though he reported like a week ago Brantley was interested in returning...
Maybe he knows something but I think the chances of Crane shelling out for Correa/Correa wanting to return are higher than he is indicating

Well if we don't get Springer, it makes complete sense to go all in for Correa. Had to get one of two.

I call bullshite on this, the players were the ones involved (and it was presumably 3 years ago), so how do you shame yourself into not wanting to be in Houston like you had nothing to do with it and want to separate yourself?
It's the media shitting on the Astros some more

Randy ARodeoarena was detained, accused of domestic violence in Mexico. So I guess he's dishing out beatings to more than just the Astros.
I accidentally posted this in a thread about Kaepernick 6 hours ago and just now realized it. Managed to get 1 upvote. I appreciate whichever one of you that was.

And then there's this
I have a feeling that Puigs once zany, fiery and quirky but loveable personality he was known for with the Dodgers would quickly make him an unlikable jerk the minute he signed with the Astros.

Puig is already generating MLB interest, per MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand, who writes that “the Astros, Orioles and Red Sox are among the teams that have Puig on their radar.”

I'm honestly all for signing Puig. Not gonna break the bank type of deal and his bat will absolutely play at MMP

100% agree. frick it, he wouldn't cost a lot and wouldn't destroy the clubhouse or anything IMO. I think it's worth a risk.

I see no world in which Bregs and Puig can coexist but I'm here for it.

Idk the Carlos Gomez deal yielded a fruitful return on our part.

If he can help us win I think Bregs is man enough to put whatever they have to the side

I didn't realize there was some sort of Bregman/Puig feud... what's that all about?
I think Puig could work well in Houston... I thought he or Cespedes could be potential under the radar options.
There's no reason Tucker can't play CF to allow for Puig and hopefully Brantley to cover the corners.

There's no fued that I know of. I was more getting at that they're they're both swaggy dbags with big personalities. So much the same, they might butt heads.

I still wouldn't mind Jackie Bradley in a puig scenario. An outfield of Brantley, Tucker and Puig is defensively terrifying. I know Puig has the big arm but he's not otherwise a plus fielder is he?
