Altuve is not only one of the game’s best but he’s also a people’s champ. It looked as though his dad wanted to give him an “MVP” ball cap to wear during the interview and he kind of shushed him away, like not appropriate right now, dad.

How can you not literally love this guy??

I always felt good about Altuve's chances, but when they did the segment asking writers what they were looking for in a MVP, and it included a Houston beat writer along w 2 previous Houston beat writers that I think are in NY, I knew it was in the bag.

I'm in the 8th inn of ALCS Game 2 right now.

When MLBN showed the graphic w closest MVP voting results and it had DiMaggio over Williams by 1 vote in '47, Col. Dave Egan, a Boston writer who hated Williams left him off his ballot.

Back then you got 10 points for first and 1 for tenth. So he didn't have him in his top 10.

Just gives you an idea how foolish writers can be.

I'm with Footer on her twitter rant. Every time Altuve is interviewed it's "So..you're short. Why are you this good?"

I'm sure he gets sick of having to justify himself every time he give an interview.
