Vazquez can get on base and call a no hitter.

Of fricking course Maldy is starting.

Does Dusty ever give explanations for shite like this? Why change something that's actually working?

He's the pitcher whisperer.

See games 1 and 3 for evidence.

Maldy will throw out runners that Vasquez can’t.

Also, Maldy is getting a hit tonight. Book it

BTW, Texans are so lame/tone death. They need a new social media manager. They posted this on their pages this morning. You can imagine the comments.

Maldy is actually contributing at the plate. In my opinion they should have been alternating every day in the playoffs just to keep them fresh and competitive. Look at how much McCormick has improved since he’s been fighting for playing time. I like that dusty my has been wiling to change the DH since it hasn’t produced…but maybe don’t agree with the exact decisions. Now how he manages the pitching in the next 2-3 games will determine his legacy.

Vazquez threw out 27% this year compared to 26% for Maldy.

For their careers Vazquez is at 34% and Maldy is 35%. Not a significant difference either way.

The steals last night were on Javi. Skow to the plate but whatever, he's not really a guy I want rushing his delivery.

Both have actually had some trouble handling the ball in the WS

Just unexplained drops out of the mitt on routine pitches

So who do we trust to call a game? Maldy has certainly had his share of bizzare pitch sequencing calling the same pitch and location 10 times in a row. And JV has gotten himself in trouble shaking off Maldy to do his own thing

If I’m Verlander, I want some of what Vasquez was giving the boys last night

Nothing else he has done in the WS have worked

Try something different

Play whatever mind games you want, JV is already in his own head

If he fricks around, he will find out when he’s sitting at home w/o a trophy

Yep, but I think he has the stones to come up with a redemption game to remember.
