So as a somewhat newbie to this board... Can someone explain the history of the name "DAT"?

Bregman has been such a steady force this postseason. He seems to have embraced who he really is as a hitter now. There’s nobody else I wanted up in that situation.

He is definitely guilty of being selfish during the regular season, attempting to pull

Isn't this an Astros system analytical approach? Three true outcomes and all that

Yeah it seemed like he wanted to be a 30+ HR a year guy after 2017 and now he's settling into his "Derek Jeter role" of being a base hit guy with gold glove fielding.

He embraced the pull side launch angle approach with the jumpy ball and it obviously worked as long as that was around. He’s clearly realized at some point early this year it wasn’t viable anymore and reverted back to who he was. I think he has a big year next year

He ended up with great numbers this year as well

Yes, it’s possible to drive in runs from the four hole in ways other than home runs.

Yes, and I don't know why?

I think a few posters said something about Mattress Mack leaving the stadium, flipping off people as he headed home and my brain just automatically thinks Houston.

No Hitter Trivia:

Both 2022 combined no-hitters ended with a ground ball out, Bregman to Gurriel.

Anal fissures
Man that was one of the most odd things to pop up on an injury report.

Had some suspect search history because of that day

That shite is no joke, and is usually recurring. Most people have or have had hemorrhoids at some point, you might see a little blood in your stool. Anal fissures are on a much higher level. They hurt, and the amount of blood that comes out makes you think you're dying.

Can't believe I'm discussing anal fissures in an Astros thread.

If Houston gets down, they'll be back. For all of SirShitstains's trolling, he was much more tolerable last night.

Only reason the grifter in charge is supporting the Phillies is cause Penn is a swing state. I'm glad they don't root for the Astros, frick them.

No troll but I’m a lifelong Phillies fan. Thought for sure we’d pull one out but Nola shite the bed again. This is a must win game because it’s a wrap when we go to Houston. I love and hate the duality of this sport. 5 homers in one game, no hit the next.

Last night was a masterpiece performance by the Houston staff. I think the Phil’s are done after last night. If the Astros jump out to a quick big lead and JV can stay steady for like 6 innings this thing will be over Saturday.

Law of averages and baseball gods says that it’s time for Verlanders first WS win, right? Has to be….
