To be fair about the lack of an off-day between Game 4 and 5, none of the division series have an off-day between 4 and 5.
But MLB doesn’t give two shits about the Mariners, Astros, their organizations or their fans so the day game start while going two time zones forward is a feature, not a bug. frick ‘em.

I don’t think it really makes a difference. Both teams in the series have to deal with it. I guess it could have some knock on effect to the next series but nothing that significant. Not like you were gonna be starting your game 4 starter in Game 1 or anything anyways

It doesn’t make a competitive difference. Just the principle that MLB and all leagues at this point just let the networks do what they want at the expense of some fan bases.
The day games actually work fine for me. But if you want to go to the game or work in an office and want to watch the game when you’re not in an office, it’s a frick you to those people.
