Tebow might crack the top 10 of a basketball list...he wouldn't be near the top

Nah. He got wall to wall national coverage as a bad NFL QB. He's received extensive national coverage as a minor league baseball player.

If Tebow decided he wanted to try basketball, he'd be third in the NBA at worst, behind Lebron and maybe Curry.

Tebow is not a famous baseball player. He's a famous person who plays baseball. That's not going to change regardless of the sport.

You think non baseball fans know who Mookie Betts is?

I'm a (VERY casual) baseball fan, and I only barely know the name. "Mookie" is a very unique name

I couldn't pick him out of a lineup if my life depended on it, though.

Has he fired those annoying Dannettes yet that make the show about themselves? McLovin is the only tolerable one.

My mom would know Tim Tebow. My mom would not know who Aaron Judge was.

As another non-baseball fan, I don’t know any of those 3 guys.

This might be true but that’s more of an indictment against ESPN and sports media in general than it is against baseball.

Compare his social media numbers against LeBron, Steph, Durant, Harden, Kyrie, Westbrook...etc...and report back. ThxIA.

Star basketball players have more social media followers than a minor league baseball player/college football commentator. Sorry, I don’t think that’s the only measure of notoriety/fame.

I'm not a baseball fan by any means. I know who Aaron Judge Nd Mike Trout is, not the other guy unfortunately.

I know a few more guys in the MLB. Unfortunately I couldn't tell you which team any of these guys play for.

While slightly surprised by the responses in this thread, I'm not unhappy about it either. MLB needs stars and could do a better job marketing them, but leave the hero worshiping to the NBA dweebs imo.
