They're better than Dak.

Prescott has one year left on his contract and has all the leverage in the world to ask the #Cowboys to make him the highest-paid QB in NFL history

If I'm Jerry I'd rather eat the 2025 dead money and let him walk while trading up in this upcoming draft to Top 3 and take my QB of the future.
Dak ain't worth $60M. He can't even win a playoff game. All the other QB's commanding >$50M are winning playoff games or show higher potential.

Mahomes is looking like the best bang for the buck the Chiefs organization could have ever hoped for.

People laugh but JJ is going to be a very good QB in the league IMO and he's going to be gone by 15, if not 10.

The average around the league is that QB's gobble up 25% of the cap.

If it were possible I wonder if the Cowboys would rather have Kirk Cousins over Dak.

I absolutely would.

Dak is not good.

Feasts against terrible teams and shits the bed in spectacular fashion against any team with a pulse on defense.

Yeah, his stats may look ok in those games, but the box score lies sometimes. See: the Green Bay game this year.

As a Dallas fan I’m all for cutting him loose and trying anything different. I’m tired of knowing for a fact they have zero chance of coming close to a Super Bowl.

Why would they have dead money if he leaves as a FA?

And yet top TEs will still make like $9M/yr.

Let's say half of a given NFL roster (STs and backups) makes $1M/yr, that still leaves $222M/yr to spread to your starters and top rotational guys.

Thats still only $8M/yr... Yet Dak duking Prescott may make $60M.

It's so laughable because Jerry is actually serious.

A qb could take a ream friendly deal, get $30M a year guaranteed, have more money than he knows what to do with, and make his team the most competitive in the league.

Holy shite, spending over 20% on a single player.

I’d like to see the cowboys get Brock Bowers. I think he’s going to be a great 3rd down option in the NFL.

Yes they can. This year's draft is loaded with QB talent. They can trade up to middle of 1st and still snag a guy like McCarthy or Penix and cut/trade Dak instead of paying him 60 f-ing million/yr.

Trade Dak and their cornerback to Chicago for #1 overall
