Could you imagine now defenders not being allowed hardly lay a finger on Aikman & Irvin, or Young & Rice?

OTOH, how the hell will defensive players from the ‘90s be able to defend against the offensive players of today with the current rules?

I’d like to see Steve Young play in a league where you basically can’t touch him.

I mean, Lamar Jackson was MVP in this era.

I don't know about teams being good but the QBs from that era would probably be really good starters in todays league.

If playing under 90s rules. Yes.
If playing under 2020 rules. No.

No because they would call holding and pass interference on every other play.

No, the current 5 yards first down by penalty against the 90's teams defenses would make the current teams' offenses unstoppable.

The 99 Rams would run circles around Alabama.

The 1998 Broncos could beat any of them. That was a historically great team. Them and the 1991 Redskins were 1A and 1B. The 1991 Redskins could also win a Super Bowl today. They lost two games all season by a combined total of 5 points. Incredible team.

What about a modern college champion like Bama?

They would get bitchslapped by any Super Bowl champion of the last 40 years.

The 1982 Redskins were a run first team with one player over 300 lbs and only 5 over 270. They wouldn't be able to make the SECCG against today's teams.

People just don't realize how much bigger teams have gotten.

The 93 Cowboys

Would get absolutely manhandled in the trenches

Aikman wouldn't be able to do anything, and as a result the box would get stacked and Emmitt Smith would be out there looking like Trent Richardson

Are you meaning Bama vs say 95 Nebraska, or vs the Super Bowl teams?

Young/Deion 49ers

The 1994 49ers were loaded. Steve Young, Deion Sanders, Jerry Rice, Rickey Waters. They would make easy work of several Super Bowl teams of the last decade.

Yeah, those Cowboys lines would have a real tough time with Bama.
