There is zero parity and too much regional dominance.

Saban's football factory is amazing but it's terrible for the sport.

There is this thing called hard work to try to beat the champ.

You want a system where nobody tries to win.

Will be interesting the effect of recruiting and when/if players can make money off of their image.

Everything is getting stale mostly because the PAC 12 has stopped caring about football while there are only three or four serious teams outside the SEC... tOSU, Clemson, Oklahoma, and the Penn States and NDs of the world.

No one gets pushed regularly to improve, so most teams aren’t near as battle tested.

Reducing scholarship limits would be a start. The system and product is completely broken and awful right now.

Scholarship reduction is a zero sum game that Saban will still win.

NIL is the only realistic short term hope within the current structure of college football.

Otherwise we will be stuck in and endless loop of SEC and Ohio State dominance.

The plan is so simple and there is ZERO arguments against it:

No more signing 25 scholarships a year. You get 18

No more 85 scholarships players on a team. You get 65.

Exactly. The sport has gotten stale unless you are an Alabama fan. I like Alabama, but I hate the utter lack of parity in this sport.

I agree.

Bama is going to win every other year no matter what, but I'd rather watch them do it how they did circa 2015.

Northeast cares about basketball, baseball and NFL. West coast doesn’t case about sports. Southeast and Midwest are only two areas that really care about college football. The best are going to gravitate to the southeast with warmer weather and crazy fans.

Interest in sports is at a 25 year low. That usually means the best get better and the others are left way behind. It will remain this way, but there will be a couple of schools outside of the southeast that get transfers to help them.

16 team playoff. Every FBS conference champion gets an auto bid. 6 at large teams.

Problem solved. Except the P5 cartel doesn’t want that to happen because it would legitimize the Appalachian St, Boise St, & Cincinnati’s of college football.

While marginalizing the non elite P5 programs. The top 4 programs in each P5 league would be fine, but the rest would no longer get the more talented athletes over G5 teams.

In general it would give the Top 4 teams in each FBS league a leg up on everyone else.

Just wait it out until Saban retires.

LOL

You know you have the greatest coach and program ever when you have outside fans whining to reform football due to your dynasty. Must be great to be a Bama fan right now.

Don't worry Saban has to retire sometime and when he does, Bama will run every coach off who has 1-2 losses every year.
