Just add an extra quarter (either 10 or 15 mins) and let them play it out in the playoffs

Both teams should get a chance

Just give both teams the chance to get the ball. It’s really that simple

It’s really stupid how the NFL can’t understand how bad it is one offense doesn’t get a chance just because of a coin toss. How do they not realize still?

I hate the sudden death rule in the NFL. It simply favors who wins the coin toss.

The crowd erupting on the coin toss tells you all you need to know.

Should never happen. Dampens the greatness of that game

Yes they do.. Back in the day Sudden death was fine, now not so much. Teams cant really play defense like they used to so sudden death is terrible.

Give us 10 mins in the playoffs... Screw any sort of scoring to end the game.

This was a terrible way to end one of the best games ever.

Do it like soccer.

You get an extra quarter to play out.

The only reason it even went to OT was our dumb kicker cost us 4 points. Bills have #1 defense and could't hold Chiefs to even a FG in OT.

Well from the OT games I have seen, most these games don’t end in a first possession TD. Regardless, coin tosses are a part of the game and a part of life. If you don’t want to lose…D up better. A pick 6 ends it as well.

Will the FG kickers decide the game if it's still tied?

I was thinking another quarter if still tied but this is an interesting idea.

Both teams had a whole game to get it done.

If you add a quarter and it is still tied, then what?
If you let the team that lost the coin toss have a drive and they get a touchdown, then what? Keep going and watch them start piling up injuries due to exhaustion?

If you can’t win it in regulation, fate steps in. I was pulling for the Bills.

Oh hell no. At that point it’s just one TD after another. FG context going out 10 yards at a time should decide it if anything.

If still tied After 1 extra quarter I would go to 2 point conversions like college does

What if you just give the other team the opportunity to match the TD and then if they match it, next score wins. If your defense can't stop them after two tries then you don't deserve to win.
