agreed. College O.T. Is way better, more fair.

NFL playoff games being decided by 2 point conversions is not a good rule either IMO. Set a time, such as an entire quarter, and let them play regular football.

Instead of a coin toss, each team should have to try 5 extra points and 5 two point conversions. Whichever teams has the most points gets the ball first with the current overtime rules. That would be a start.

The problem is that it still can end in a tie.

I’m pretty sure playoff games can’t end in a tie.

Funny how the coin toss didn’t decide the infamous PI against Saints. The Brees Baw won the coin toss and couldn’t get the job done. Yet you all blame the PI in regulation.

Chiefs tried to change the rule but other teams didn't want it.

OT rules suck

Coin toss gave Brady a win over Mahomes at Arrowhead in the 2018 AFC Championship.

Did Buffalo not play in OT???

I hate that Buffalo lost (hate the chiefs) but they had a chance to stop the Chiefs with THEIR Defense and failed.

Its on the D to get the ball back to the O and they failed.
Sorry.......KC deserved to win since Buffalo's d failed them 2 drives in a row.

Now screw the Chiefs......hope the Bengals run them out of the stadium.

Was anyone complaining when the Chiefs were on the receiving end against NE in 2019?

Go Chiefs!

Second scoring team forced to go for two, either win it or lose it. At least they will have a shot

Maybe make both teams go for two. That way neither team is at a disadvantage and it makes it more likely the game will end quick enough.

OT Rules suck, but it was shitte defense that decided the game, not bad OT Rules.

Just add an extra quarter (either 10 or 15 mins) and let them play it out in the playoffs

This this this. I know the union would balk for the regular season, but it makes all the sense in the world for the playoffs.

Or how about this, keep overtime going as long as both teams are matching TDs. When a team is finally held to a field goal, the opposing team can win with a TD or tie with a field goal. If they tie with a field goal, the game then becomes sudden death, next score wins.

The solution to this is, if the opening drive results in a field goal or touchdown, the other team gets a chance to answer. If the trailing team scores a field goal, the game continues and the next score wins. If the trailing team scores a touchdown, they have to go for 2. They either get the 2 point conversion and win or fail and lose.

What if you just give the other team the opportunity to match the TD and then if they match it, next score wins. If your defense can't stop them after two tries then you don't deserve to win.

So your solution to the bad OT rule is using the same OT rule in the 2nd OT?

Chiefs had 13 seconds and Bills couldn’t stop them from driving to kick a FG. Everyone is putting this on OT stopping the Bills offense when in reality the Bills defense failed twice in a row and lost the game.
