I wish I was the principle of some HS that was in need of a boys b-ball coach, I'd hire him and tell him don't change a fricking thing about the way he coaches the game

It looks like to me he was fired because he wouldn't apologize like the headmaster wanted him to. I say good for him. If they want him to coach apologetic basketball then let them hire John Brady.

Would Jesus continue to drain 'em from three point land up 59-0 at the half?

Maybe they should fire the coach of the team that couldn't manage to score a single point.

Apparently the school in question has gone winless for 4 years, and it is a small school specializing in teaching those with short attention spans or something.

Of course this evokes a comical mental image of someone dribbling the ball an...OH LOOK A BUTTERFLY!

Have you taken the time to see video clips of the players talking about the game and about the fun they have playing basketball and being part of a team? A more well-adjusted bunch of kids you would never find.

For having so much fun they sure suck at what they do.

Suck at what exactly?

Being kids? Nope.
Having the right priorities? Nope.
Going to a school that has 20 girls in it and trying out for basketball because you want to be part of a team with your friends? Nope.

The kids have handled this event well from what I have witnessed. It speaks well for their future.

I don't think he should be fired, but he's a piece of shite regardless.

"yay we beat a bunch of retards 100-0!"

agreed....

To run up the score on a school that hasnt won a game in 4 years is pretty pathetic. Why not stop at 50 - 0? Oh yeah, because he wanted the magical 100. Piece of shite in my book

I haven't seen anything about when he pulled the starters or anything like that.

If he had his starting 5 in hitting 3s in the 4th quarter, that's pretty lame. If it was the backups that hardly ever see the court in a game, I have no problem with it.

Problem is they were not just shooting 3's they were also playing full court press.

To me as a player it would be much more embarrassing for the other team to quit playing because they felt sorry for us than to run up the score.

Pulling the starters significantly early (around halftime) is all I would say is needed for "class."

Just let the kids play.

That said, I doubt he pulled the starters that early.

That's no excuse. Look at Ole Miss. They still win some games on the hardwood.

He had the starters in late 3rd quarter up 70 something to 0. He full court pressed the entire game apparently. That is the main problem I had with it. It was obvious they were going to blow these girls out, why not take the opportunity to clear the bench and let those girls have some playing time and some fun?
