Nah, lots of big brewers use rice, but it's typically frowned upon for craft beers.

Canning does have a lot of advantage over bottles when it comes to cost, light exposure and oxidation. They just have a cheap connotation for the most part.
It's becoming more and more of a trend to can beers in the craft industry.
Why would they need purple rice? Just use purple food coloring if that's what they want, no different than green beer for St. Patrick's day. I can't imagine they would use rice as an adjunct at all, but I could be wrong there.

That tends to be my favorite cut. 
I also enjoy Hello Sushi a good bit.

And... even if you get the pass interference call, still have to be successful on the next play.
So, if you have to have a TD, you're taking a very small chance that the defense is dumb enough to interfere on a pass short of the end-zone, AND the officials call it, AND you get a TD on the final untimed down.
If you only need a FG, the odds are better... but still, not good.
