It was semi-interesting until they starting saying how amazing it was they were playing Boosie and Lil' Wayne all game.
That is literally the worst part of Tiger Stadium gameday now. They've ruined it with the piped in music and DJ.

Both are the real Death Valley.
You can debate who claimed the name first, or which stadium is the more intimidating environment, but both have a claim to the nickname.
I mean, LSU's Stadium was actually nicknamed Deaf Valley to begin with. It was mis-stated in an article at some point as Death Valley, and for some reason that is what stuck.

Ask 100 random sports fan what “Death Valley” is and that’s your answer.
I think we all know who would get like 80% of the responses

Both? I mean who really cares which one is "real"? I'm pretty sure they started calling it that first and ours was just a mistaken pronunciation of Deaf Valley. I'd argue LSU is probably more famous but that might be due to me being an LSU fan.

I always remembered it being Deaf Valley - which I think is appropriate!

Clemson stole their colors and mascot from Auburn. This is fact. Look up Merritt Riggs, the father of Clemson football.
It’s not much of a leap, then, to assume they stole Death Valley from LSU too.

That’s Monument Valley in Utah

LSU claiming Death Valley is like the Bengals claiming Who Dey is original to Cincy.
Assuming this is sarcasm. It originated from Hudepohl “Hudy” beer which is Cincy made.

LSU, because it can be hot af at the beginning of the season.

Clemson has an actual cemetery at the stadium. It’s the actual death valley

The two teams should play Week 0 every season. Home and home.
The winner gets to call their place the Real Death Valley beginning Week 1 through the end of the season.
Only seems fair.

As for when and why "Death Valley" became the recognized name, Engster points toward 1982 and the arrival of controversial athletic director Bob Brodhead. "Brodhead emphasized the 'Death Valley' term when he was hired in 1982," Engster wrote. "Brodhead was a former Duke quarterback and familiar with Clemson and the other Death Valley."

Clemson saying they are are the real Death Valley is like Mobile saying they have the real Mardi Gras.
Used this exact line to a Clemson fan. His response, "That makes no sense. What does Mardi Gras have to do with Mobile, AL?".
Checkmate.
