I think a “corrupt POS” applies to most politicians - might as well pick the one who will fight for the causes you support.
I’d add terrible defense - from our top level catchers, for one - inexplicable, and from our infield excluding Milam for two. That kills momentum, and hurts pitching when you did what was needed to get out of an inning only to have someone drop a ball or make an errant throw. It’s like they never practiced fielding and our catchers came from little league instead of tops in Texas. Makes no sense.
Pitching staff, plus catcher screw-ups and abysmal infield defense (except for Milam). Pitchers look better when the defense is capable of getting routine outs and the catchers catch the ball. Still bad pitching but don’t overlook the bad defense too
Wow - I knew it was bad , but not that bad . That’s way past “we lost our top 2 guys”
“Only” 25%? Seems like 75% when I’ve been in an ER in Houston (multiple times with my elderly mother). I remember the person checking in in front of us asking if they had a dentist there (and no, there was no apparent pain, no bleeding or injury etc). The nurse said, uh no, this is an ER…
I’m convinced it (being outraged daily) is the only thing in their lives that they can look forward to - kinda sad, really.
Honest question - did no one have a plan for keeping the Strait of Hormuz open when we started all this? Or is it just about impossible to do? Or were there too many other priorities to address this at the beginning?

Seems like a pretty key piece of the puzzle.
Yeah the catchers are most surprising to me - isn’t their main job to…catch?? They are probably responsible for more runs for the opponent than they are for us - that is, I’m not sure their good offense warrants their bad defense (except maybe the Arrambide explosion game!). Surely they are better defensively than they are playing??
I wonder how many runs we’ve given up because of catchers who can’t catch and infielders who look like it’s their first time on the field. Milam is outstanding, but the rest of the defense…?!?! Do we have more errors than runs?? We can do ok with our bats and our pitching, but this bad a defense at this level is beyond frustrating.
There must be a competition between Minnesota and California to see which can be the weirdest…
The errors are what’s most surprising/disappointing. With a top tier shortstop, there’s no way we should have that many errors!
Is there a catching coach? I don’t ever remember our catchers being this bad at catching - maybe hitting, but these guys have more trouble just stopping the ball than any I can remember
I like the keyboard guy!

Why is Pearson playing 2B???
I don’t like Cornyn either but if it’s him vs Talarico, please vote Cornyn !
So what happens if one side won’t engage in reasonable dialogue…?? And therefore gets a nuclear weapon? We did try the reasonable dialogue thing
The guys who came back and played well deserve the next start. They earned it. Won’t hurt the regular starters to get a different perspective for a game either.
At least give Davis Mills a shot - I mean, could he do any worse???
I got more interested in the Texans when they hired Demeco Ryans - he’s enthusiastic, genuine, and it seems like the players love him. Plus they have Stingley, Danielle Hunter, and a fantastic D. I’m on board.
I had to look for a new vet because mine retired - we’d gone to her since the 1980s. She sold to a corporation and the staff all left and it was awful. I was told by a different successful vet that no individual vet can afford to buy a practice, hence they are all becoming “corporate”.
Probably not a popular take, but we could save several million a year plus get a lot of physical facilities back, while not affecting M/F balance, by stopping tennis and swimming /diving. I’d add golf, but I suppose there’s a greater chance of a multi-million dollar alum coming from that…
