One hour, all the highlights. Fast paced, entertaining, no dumb arse overanalysis. This is all the hell I want. I don't even watch ESPN for highlights anymore because it's mostly a complete waste of time.

yep people are just trying to be cool by disliking a bloated, loudmouth douche that has essentially become a caricature of himself.
I used to love Berman as a kid watching him do the highlights on NFL Live, but he's going on a decade now of bringing nothing to the table. "nobody circles the wagons.....here's the clip of me catching a TD pass at Bucs camp..."

Why do y'all hate Chris Berman?
He had grown beyond awful. He's like those past their prime comics who used to play Caesers or MGM and are now playing the Riviera or Main Street Station. His schtick is old and tired.

But how is he supposed to 'bring something new to the table'? His job is to do introductions to the show, and talk about what happens.. how is he supposed to bring something new to the table? New jokes? Then he would be 'trying to hard'

Or is it because there is not a lot of accountability in sports entertainment and so some people are allowed to maintain their job even after they start to kind of suck?
Chris Berman sucked in the NFL studio. Trey Wingo is good. Dan Patrick is the GOAT or maybe Ernie Johnson if you want to switch sports.
Berman sucked at the US Open. Jim Nantz is amazing at the Masters.
Verne Lundquist sucked at CFB play-by-play. Brad Nessler is really good. Ron Franklin was the GOAT.

He'll yes. I don't know why, but Jackson and Berman were together on NFL Primetime a few weeks ago. I like watching the old clips on them on YouTube.

Sports is best when covered by a guy's guy like Berman. They are getting rid of the Tony Seragusa's of the world and replacing them with blonde bimbos that don't offend. Hell, the Home Run Derby had a chick commentator last year.
