SMU waiving all revenue for 7 years is pretty risky. ACC might implode before 2030

TV revenue. The bowl, etc payouts will still be more than the AAC is paying.

Cal-Berkeley is going for that? I have a hard time believing their program will be sustained from alumni involvement in the long term.

SMU is filthy rich for a school that size.

Florida State has to be livid right now. I'd be so pissed at ND rn

Notre Dame could single handedly save the ACC for the foreseeable future if they would suck it up and join the ACC

Unless ESPN is paying the conference more money for ND to join I’m not sure how becoming a full member does anything to quell FSU’s crying. They want $20m more per year and that ain’t happening.

Cal and Stanford flying coast to coast over a hundred times per year doesn’t seem very climate friendly

Why add 3 schools when they’re currently setting at 14? Doesn’t make sense to have an uneven number.

Not if they add 3 more schools that would vote to keep the conference together, unless FSU can figure out how to break the GOR

NC State has the most incentive to vote yes because they're the only one that might not get an invite from the SEC or B1G.

But even if they don’t they’re a guarantee for the Big XII. In the most likely scenario the SEC, Big Ten, Big XII, Big East, and AAC divide up the ACC like dinner. If it no longer exists, there’s no more exit fees and no more GOR

Doesn't really matter. They won't have a seat at the 24 team Suoer League anyway.

They could, but watching Louisville languish as the ACC crumbles is a frickload more enjoyable.

Because they know they are losing at least 4 schools. Rumors are ND is behind adding Stanford, Cal, and SMU. If they can get ND by adding those 3 then that’s a very good result all things considered.

LOL Notre Dame is not joining. They are just trying to cuck the ACC like they always do.

2020 was the perfect chance for them to stick it to ND and they bitched out

If there was ever an example of a program that does not deserve to be included with the big boys, it's UK. Talk about a school that gives no shits at all about football. Basically a one trick pony athletic department. You downsized your garbage football stadium
