Look at the Sutter brothers. Five of them played in the NHL. Three Boyer brothers played MLB, and a couple more in the minors.

I think there are absolutely genetics involved, just like race horses, but it can be hit or miss. When it hits - it can be huge. Like Steph Curry, Ken Norton JR etc etc

Karl Malone’s daughter was a WNBA all star, if that counts

Karl has his DNA spread out across all kind of professional leagues. Hell he probably has a kid somewhere in the NHL and in the Aussie Football League

Fun fact: Prince Fielder and Cecil Fielder both hit 319 career HRs.

It absolutely is hereditary it just isn't a 1:1 transfer. There are tons of other factors, but Bronny inherited enough to be a D-1 athlete. That doesn't just happen.

Physical attributes are hereditary. Having the physical attributes goes a long way towards athletic success.

I don’t know that I would say athletic talent is hereditary.

Somewhere I've got pictures of Cecil throwing with five or six year old Prince before a Tigers @ Ranger game. Cecil, and a bunch of other non-Ranger baseball players, lived in Arlington in the offseason back then. Prince was huge for his age. Cecil was in the middle of being a badass, who crushed everything he hit, back then.

Eh, every NBA bench has some random a-hole who is on the end to average 5 minutes that is just there to jog out blowouts. Bronny could fill that role.
