No, he was a NFL player. Karl was the teenager when Cheryl was born. He had the same amount of fricks to give about both of them when they were growing up though.

Serious question, has their been an all-time great where any of their sons were able to live up to their dad's hype?

If Marvin Harrison Jr magically lives up to even half the hype he’s been getting, he’ll literally be the GOAT.

Tim Hardaway is a good answer, there's also Bill Walton as well. Although none of their sons ever came close to surpassing them.

The best answer might be Sabonis. He's in the HOF due to his international stuff, and supposedly has all the respect from any NBA guys. Domantis still has a ways to go before HOF status, but at the least he is an All-NBA level player.

What? Athletic talent is absolutely hereditary as it is in large part made up of physical traits. The percentage of pro athletes with college/pro athlete kids is way higher than the gen pop.

Even Bronny, while probably not an NBA level player, is still in the top 1% of the population at playing basketball.

I thought we were talking bball. But if you want all sports then you can go Peyton manning, Griffey, Barry bonds, Eli manning, etc.

4* and McDonald's all American but that had more to do with his last name. His h.s team was more loaded than the average h.s. team.

As a senior, he averaged 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game, leading his team to a 23–11 record.

I hope it happens just for the farce of it

Even Lebron should realize how bad of a look this will be if he takes up a roster spot not earned and the lakers deserve every ridicule they get if they do it to appease him

He’s too short and can’t create his own shot. Good defender and plays hard but he’s not even an Euro leaguer at this point and hard to see that changing

Bronny seems like a great kid. Never made anything about himself.

Apparently Bryce is a significantly better player

And this kinda shite is why people don’t like LeBron.

Trash talk current players claiming your kid is better than them then get upset when people start posting the kid’s stat line and ESPN having to admit they don’t have him being drafted in the 2024 draft should he declare.

The kid has the weight of the world on his shoulders but his dad won’t shut his fricking mouth and let him sink or swim on his own.

Simmons chose to not be great. He had every reason to be great. There is a huge difference.

Simmons wanted to play in the NBA, and be a celebrity, but I don't think he really enjoys playing the game. I always felt like Shawn Bradley didn't like playing. He played because he was over 7". I think the NBA was just a job to him. He didn't work to get better.

Simmons never had to work for anything. That was his problem. He got his big money and said screw it.

Rick Barry had three sons play in the NBA. While none were as good as he was the fact that three of them made it, and another two played college, shows there's some genetics involved.
