That was easily one of the best 5 or so teams to never win the championship. I think they went something like 50-5 in the regular season with Harden, Paul, Capela. If they go 3/27 or 4/27 instead of 0/27 in that game 7, they win it all.

Obviously still a lot left in the tank. Definitely a max level player for the next couple of seasons and 75% of max in the next two.

and it's funny you intentionally left out the postseason, where it REALLY counts... i guess being 9th on that list doesn't hit quite the same, huh?

oh and all 8 above him, as well as the next 7 after him, all have rings...

poor Jim... me and him have the EXACT same NBA post season championship hardware at home

1 of 18. That sounds like a James Harden special for a game 6 or 7!

Boom, can you name ANY other player in any sport that is thought of as a truly great player that also does not have ANY post season success? I'm not talking about winning championships, that is not the only metric. I am talking about not showing up consistently in big-time games year after year and yet is considered a great all-time player? Again, just because a player never won a championship doesn't mean they didn't have post-season success. Karl Malone never won a championship but he was good in the post-season. Barkley never won a championship but showed up in the post-season for his team. AI never won but was the reason his rag-tag 76ers team even made the finals. Harden consistently disappears in the post-season. You keep using the excuse that "this person was injured" "This person played just as poorly as he did" "on 3rd quarter shots he was the best ever!" etc. However, 2 things can be true at one time: 1. He has had some bad luck with key players getting injured or not playing up to their potential. 2. He also did NOTHING in the key games of the series (closeout games or game 6) to lift his team to victory. It's just not who he is. He will be a hall-of-famer but will also have one of the most disappointing careers that could've been so much more

Harden has better individual career playoff stats than “himmy butler” and probably everyone of those guys you mentioned tbh— more team success too. You got to realize that people will remember what they want to remember and cherry pick specific games to try to make a point while Ignoring or forgetting about the others.

The Rockets are going to pay him $200 million, aren't they?

I was a fan of Harden when he was in Houston, but now we have young talent and this is no longer his team.

Iverson won only 6 playoff series and lost 8 in 14 seasons.

Harden has already won 15 playoff series. .

I mean this is not even comparable.

You know Hardin has the highest percent of favorable percentages of cherry picked stats in the history of the nba.

Career playoff averages = antithesis of cherry pick

Picking a game 4 here, a game 5 here, a game 2 here, etc = definition of cherry picking.

Jim Harden, as the top dog or 2nd banana, has made the playoffs 11 seasons in a row.

He has made the conf finals twice.

That is the definition of reg season player.

Has never missed the playoffs and hasn’t lost in rd 1 in nearly a decade. Highest floor of any player in the league. Also the most cursed the player in the league when it comes to having a healthy squad in the playoffs.

He could not beat Golden State when up 3-2 and no KD. The goats always find a way when their teammates aren't performing. Jim couldn't. He is not that guy. Right now I have him behind Malone and Barkley as greatest to not win a title.

Golden state didn’t need KD to win the title. Won both before or after him. You can even say they were better without him.

Harden was easily the best player in that series and even scored 35-36 in the game 6 loss.
