In the last 5 years :
Outplayed both KD and Steph in 2019
Outplayed both Bron and AD in 2020
In 2021 he was the best Nets player including KD and Kyrie then he had the grade 2 hamstring pull.
Then for the last two playoffs he had some struggles but the best player on the team Embiid was even worse.

One day we'll learn that Daryl Morey and James Harden have been pooling their money to buy their own archipelago in Southeast Asia and supply it with perpetual hookers and blow.

Some struggles? That’s like saying George Wallace had reservations about desegregation. He didn’t have some struggles, he was objectively horrible. And saying embid was worse, he averaged more points per game with never having the highs Harden had versus the Celtics, meaning his lows were never as low.
Embid sucked this series too, but not nearly as bad as harden did, and Embid at least doesn’t have and entire career worth of tiny performances in big time games showing why he shouldn’t be paid $50,000,000/year at age 33

No he wasn’t. Embid was way better than Harden.

I’ll give Harden credit in that he had a good season and shot the ball well. 21/6/11 on 44/39/87 is nothing to sneeze at. He absolutely still has value and can be a valuable piece on a contender. $50M seems a little steep for a guy who isn’t your #1 option, though.

For better or worse it seems like Hardwn and CC will be riding again starting next year

Harden was better. They get swept if he doesn’t win games 1 and 4 for them.

I actually agree that Harden was better than Embiid in the Boston series, but Harden wasn’t particularly good. In that series, Harden’s assists/game, FG%, and 3P% were lower than his regular season numbers, and his per 36 numbers were significantly worse than his regular season numbers.

He did next to nothing in the other 5 games.

if harden plays how he did, and embiid plays not even like an mvp, but just better than harden, they win the series.

why would anyone do this. he's fat and shrinks when it matters the most

As a CC fan myself I anticipate round 2 having a lot less winning (and thus less Boom) than the first go round. The part that made it fun was the Rockets were good enough to at least give him fodder

PLEASE let washed Harden come back to Houston
Posted on 5/21/23 at 10:01 pm to Boomshockalocka
No they don’t. I’m getting the feeling that you don’t care about team results when it comes to Harden. As long as he gives you some stats to talk about you don’t care if his team wins or not….. so harden may again be a real good reg season stat padder but STILL is not a leader that will ever win a title. $50 million a year would be the biggest heist in history.

Harden is the unluckiest player ever.
It's especially unfair how playoff teams target him on defense, knowing that he frequently falls asleep on cuts and switches.

Peak NBA threads back then though. The original Hardwn threads were some all timers especially when Chris Paul was there also
