No I'm being 100% honest. There's female college athletes that we've never heard of with huge social media followings

The Morgan Reid's of the world are going to rake in money.

Stop being so dramatic.
And don't act like you really know "the current form" of College Football.
We don't see behind the curtain, we just see the show that is presented in front of us by the schools and the Networks.

Can they? I figured paid posts would be some kind of infraction.

I can truly say I have no opinion on this. Shocking I know
I can't decide if this is a right and just thing, or changing a private organizations rules to cater to an extreme minority which will ruin the entire product

if they're solely posting bikini pics with 500k followers and making endorsements off of that, they can. Though i'm sure the NCAA would try to put a stop to it.
But point is, they technically can do it as long as it's not branded as, say, Joe Burrow who plays football from LSU, check out my IG. I only used a male cause I don' tknow any female college athletes, but don't pretend you wouldn't check out Burrow bikini pics!!!

SMU as an example
Ah, gotcha. The difference in that SMU is #15 in the AP and Rutgers is 2-6.
I don't think it will be enough to resurrect long-dead programs.

The NCAA has no spine anymore. California passed this law and now they just accept it, without any fight. Plus failing to bring justice to schools with basketball violations. They need to go.

. What I'm simply saying is that IF the collegiate athletes do indeed start getting paid then they will have to pay taxes on that (whatever payments, endorsements, etc. they get). The irs will be circling like sharks with blood in the water. Scholarships should be viewed as income as well (my opinion only) relative to athletic scholarships because the universities are footing the bill for all or part of the athletic scholarships.

That’s only this year though how long do we think this lasts?
Someone also used Northwestern as an example
As someone said, I really don’t think non traditional schools that just happen to be in big markets will get big because of this

What a moronic decision. It will instantly led to a total clusterfrick of impropriety. How could it not?
I'm sure this decision was the culmination of a lot of stimulating debates with equally stimulating people using the words "slavemaster" and "plantation" a couple hundred thousand times.
I quit watching pro sports long ago because of the atmosphere and attitude that will soon permeate college sports.
NCAA got bullied by activists and entrenched supporters. So long seeya.

Be cause with this arrangement certain people can pretend to look the other way and pat other pretenders on their pretending backs

There is so, so much potential for this to all go wrong. I hope to god we don't end up with the major corporations offering endorsement deals only to athletes who go to a few select schools in the "right" areas of the country.
