A big reason it's the GOAT is because of the negative space H.

Not gonna lie, took me a few posts in the thread to realize we were talking about an NHL team and not a WNBA team.

If they leave, Houston is likely home… Tillman said 2yrs ago he wanted to bring Hockey to Houston. Him owning Rockets and Hockey team playing out of same arena makes sense.

I believe Atlanta has tried and failed twice when it comes to supporting an NHL franchise.
Atlanta didn't fail because of lack of support from the fans.

Man I hope they bring the team to Houston. I’d get season tickets.

My Coyotes CSB. I was in Phoenix about 10 years ago for Honeywell training and me and a couple guys that were buddied up in the class had heard (falsely) that if you went to the ticket counter sometime around mid-first period, you could get discount tickets.

We asked the attendant and she just laughed and said no, so we decided that we would go and find something else to do. A guy sees us walking away and asked if we needed tickets, he had 3 and could sit with him for free if we wanted. At first I thought he was going to try to sell us on some time share or something, but it turns out the guy’s wife was a team nurse who got free tickets and he just wanted some dudes to BS with him during the game.

We sat about 5 rows back directly behind the goal. Bought the dude a couple beers during the game and that was that. I don’t remember who won, I wasn’t driving that night.

Good. Hockey in Arizona is stupid.

One of the best American players is from there and it was the Coyotes that inspired him:

Calling my shot now:

Matthews requests trade to Arizona after another disappointing first round exit.
Arizona relocated to the Greater Toronto Area.
Matthews leads GTA Coyotes to the Stanley Cup.
Toronto finally gets its elusive Cup and Leafs fans forever in sorrow.

Then I’ll call mine.

They go back to slumming with the Suns for a few years and the two leverage a new arena on the res. just east of Scottsdale near the casino.

Move them out of Arizona!! Ice in the desert was never going to work.

1. Arizona Coyotes to Salt Lake City
2. Florida Panthers to Quebec Nordiques

Expansion candidates:

Milwaukee
Kansas City
Houston
Regina/Saskatchewan

Tillman Fertitta owns the Houston Rockets and had said he wanted Hockey in Houston. If only he had some cash. Last weeks news

nationally renown fantasy sports and online sportsbook company (Nasdaq: DKNG), announced it will acquire Houston billionaire Tilman Fertitta's Golden Nugget Online Gaming, Inc. (Nasdaq: GNOG) in an all-stock transaction valued at $1.56 billion.

I would love for Houston to get a team. NHL games are the most fun pro live sporting event to go to. I think one could work in Houston.

I don’t think Bettman cares. Him and the owners would much rather a larger market and fan base.

Apparently the owner / owners aren’t ideal either. One takes hooks to the game and I think another bought in recently that’s big in real estate and specifically hotels on the west coast so I doubt that’s work great for him right now.

Also, this is one of the only NHL arenas in a suburban area. I really doubt they will do that again.

Would be great in Houston.
