So its acceptable for Boise to lose money and a home game but not a SEC school?

Also for the stat of BCS games people posted...in their last 5 games they are 4-1.

Again just by us arguing about it they are actually calling the shots, not the BCS.

The OU game people keep mentioning, Boise beat OU at its own game, had a turnover that OU took for a TD and then ran a hook and latteral for a big play. I guess nobody else runs anything like that.

they'd get paid to travel like all non-BCS teams

SEC schools make money on their own

Utah bailing on the MWC forced their hand, not Boise State. BSU was NEVER a candidate for the Pac10/Pac12/Pac16

I never said anything about Boise going to PAC 10 I said they forced MWC hand, because they needed a team that had a "name" to get in conference to replace possible losses.

SFP then you dont get how the media reacts...The call for Boise to play someone and Boise saying come to our place...right now Boise is in drivers seat, like it or not. They can win out, go to BCS games all the time, but people will want them to play a BCS game at home, especially if they keep winning and they beat Tech.

i know how they react

their reaction means little in the big picture

it just makes your "average joe" who they pander to feel sorry for BSU, when tehy should hate BSU

that's not how it works even with elite BCS programs

it's either a 1-game spectacle (like LSU-UNC or LSU-UO) or a home/home

why doesn't BSU just pay BCS teams to go there like every other elite program?

Why doesnt a BCS program go there? We do not know who has been involved with contracts...we are going to believe Dr. Tom because he said so?

I mean I know how hard it is for smaller school to get bigger schools to go to places, we basically blackmailed Auburn and Purdue for trips to SMS in Basketball. Its not as easy as you think it is for a school to get someone to come to a place like Boise. And right now Boise doesnt have to go play anyone on the road, look at the rankings.

other than their gimmicky field, it being 2 hours away, BSU not paying them to, BSU refuses the standard deals for non-BCS teams

why would he lie?

you'd rather believe the leaches known as BSU who claim nobody wants to play them, when their conference counterparts can schedule games against BCS teams? you do realize this, right? fresno state has no problem scheduling BCS teams (including games in Fresno)

if they want to win a national title, they will have to

Who has Fresno played at home that was a BCS school other than Oregon St and Wisconisin all one time?

They got the USC game on a fluke, someone backed out of USC game and Hill said we will play and they cancelled an off week or needed a game.

ETA:

They have Cincy in a return game this season. Oregon St will never go back either after the bullsh*t move that happend on the punt return that ended the guys season.

money

I already answered that for you. BCS programs figured to break even or make money Boise would have to come to their school twice for them to make the reutn trip.

But again, why should Boise give up a home game and money to go to BCS school? They would lose more than they on campus

Only took them what, 4 years to play that many games? If we look at just regular season games they're 3-3 since 2005

Can you imagine how many other teams would be national title contenders if their toughest game all season was @Washington when UW was 4-9 (Boise lost that game, FWIW, and finished 10-3)

If they make the NCG, then, no, they wouldn't.

they get cinci and illinois this year

KSU in 2007

i mean they played 3 fricking BCS teams last year during the regular season and they will play 3 more this year

FSU shows that a WAC team can get 2-3 BCS teams on their schedule every year

Other schools do it all the time. BCS teams would probably pay them $100k, too

because they are a leach program

the only non-BCS school who thinks they're too good to travel

Apparently they are in a position, since they dont have to go play anyone and get ranked win out and get a BCS game.

hell if BSU is this program on the level of say, an SEC school, why don't they just PAY BCS TEAMS TO GO THERE?

500k-750k will get you a solid top 20-40 opponent usually
