In 1995, Bobby Cox was arrested on simple assault charges against his wife, Pamela. According to police reports, Pamela Cox called police to their home after, she said, Cox punched her in the face and pulled her hair during an argument. She also said that Cox called her a “bitch.” The police report noted that Pamela Cox’s face was red at the scene.

Pam can finally go to sleep tonight without having to be worried about being punched in the face again by him.

He’s was the definition of a manager in the 90s. Old, fat, but he knew ball. Wish we had more of those guys today. RIP Bobby.

Man, I was reading about Ted Turner this morning and it brought me down the Bobby Cox rabbit hole and I went on to read all about Bobby. I even thought, cool he’s still alive.

His rookie year with the Yankees was Mickey Mantle's last season.

He was tossed from 162 games. A full frickin regular season worth of ejections.

A damn shame.

He was a great MLB manager.

He was actually Sparky Anderson's favorite manager when he talked baseball with anyone.

That's saying something. Easily a top 5 manager of all time.

We lost a GREAT ONE today.

Loved to hate the Braves as a kid. They dashed my childhood hopes a couple times, and it was because of his damn good teams. I miss managers like that. One of the best.
