Hope he makes it. Dude is a legend.

quote:

The legendary Florida State football coach, who turns 91 next month, told the Democrat Monday morning he was diagnosed with the virus the day after being released last weekend from a local hospital, where he was being treated for a leg infection.

Bowden said he feels fine and has not exhibited any symptoms such as fever and breathing issues associated with the illness. His sense of humor also remained intact.

Prayers.

Had the pleasure to eat supper with him a few years back. Total class act and very friendly. Was more than happy to tell stories even though he’s probably told them hundreds of times.

This may be the best chance a FSU coach has of beating something this fall.

This is really good news. He was tested last Thursday or prior, so at least 5 days positive with no symptoms.

He will alway be legendary for this story from Terry Bowden alone:
quote:

Recruiting against my father in 1994, the No. 1 player in the state of Florida was a kid named Martavius Houston — he was a great player for me at Auburn. He had narrowed his decision down to Florida State and Auburn. That last week I was able to make my one official home visit and the last night possible, I go in there at 6pm. And I’m walking out at 7:30, and a stretch limousine pulled up in front of the house. I had a town car and thought I was fancy. A stretch limousine pulled up in front, driver lets out my old man. He walks up to the front porch, he says hello to momma, he shakes the boy’s hand, and he pats me on the head and he said ‘Terry, when you get home, your momma wants you to call.’ That was all he said! That’s dirty recruiting right there; that tells you how ugly it is.

Any dude that savage can beat Covid.

I've said for months that hospitals and clinics and doctor offices are the germiest places one can possibly get the virus from. After all, those are places sick people definitely inhabit. Not a place I would like to visit currently.

Wasn't Martavius Houston kicked off the Auburn team? Did he ever make it to the NFL?
