These upbeat commercials are fricking killing me

What did Suzy say that was so bad? I think all three are just in shock. None of them are taking shots at each other.

May see some players retire after this injury.

They said AED and CPR. So if AED he had a pulse at some point, and there are reports he does have a pulse at the moment.
Wondering if maybe someone relayed CPR when they were going for the AED in the fog of it all? Or they got a pulse back with CPR

quote:She brilliantly started it off with bullshite like "This is why we say it's not how hard the hit is, but the type of hit."
As far as I saw she was just trying to make small talk.
Took her all of 5 seconds to use this moment as a soapbox.

Something like this is unprecedented

Broke his neck on the field, paralyzed from neck down

There is no good decision here.
There is. You wait. If he's ok you gear back up and play the game. If he isn't, you let your players decide and sort out the bullshite later

Second impact syndrome. Look it up. Prayers sent. Sad day

Suzie hearing this board from afar. Saying “y’all this shite is fricked up we have no idea what to do”

CPR is generally not done if someone is breathing.
Especially by trained paramedics, yahoos who get their medical training by watching Chicago Hope might try it in some kind of situation but people who actually know something about medical trauma wouldn't,

Kolber isn't doing a great job, but I don't think any anchor has ever had to deal with a situation like this.
Booger has been amazing.
I don't know why Schefter is there - he's just sitting in a chair...not helping Kolber at all.
If anyone else is in that building, then they need to get them in a chair and help her out.

Someone needs to pass along information to the commentary group so they can update the general public that’s waiting around for an update.

Zac Taylor is waiting outside the Bills Locker room

Booger has been fantastic in this honestly.
He has but all of them are doing the best they can. They don't have a script, have never been in this position before and are dealing with it the best they can like all of us. Give them a break.

Showing re-runs of the 2015 ping pong world championships would be better than listening to Suzy right now. She could not sound any more disingenuous. If is she is she doesn’t sound like it. Just horrible.

Yea, Suzy isn’t handling this well at all. Her questions are irrelevant and Booger just trying to keep it together.

Doubtful. More likely the shot to the heart caused commotio cordis. Think like a baseball hitting a kid in the chest and them dying. The reason they’re constantly making bats have less pop.
Yep. It doesn’t take much in certain cases. Knew a guy that got shocked by a tractor battery that died like that. He was wiring up a little small pump, and touched negative and positive at the same time or touched something with a screw driver. Can’t remember, but he got hit and said “ooh got me” like half joking and was dead within minutes.

I'm not watching the game but you would swear by Twitter he died on the field. I saw the video and it didn't seem like a bad tackle he just collapsed after.

So are we playing football or what?
