I write for a student site for South Carolina and have been in the press box a few times in the last year. as a student, it's hard as shite not to cheer or anything
when there's a big play in the game you'll hear people yell out in little pockets around the place. but yeah other than that it's pretty silent in there

That's pretty funny. I like Simmons for the most part and have been following him since his Page 2 columns. I dont even watch the NBA, but will still listen to him talk NBA on his podcasts.
Besides his sometimes liberal tangents, I like his different take on things. It's refreshing and doesnt seem as scripted.

ill ask again. Who is Bill Simmons and why is he on tv. Dude is the best espn has, which says alot aBout espn. Thier coverage of the finals was awful.

BTW, I really like Simmons. He truly is a walking basketball almanac. He is better suited for the written word, but I love when he drops historical references on that show.
He's just a nerd that made it to TV and I can appreciate that. He really does know his basketball.
