Reminds me when SI was hyping their Oklahoma State Story and then no one cared at all.

I expect a big dud. Anything Earth shattering out west would probably have to be Oregon and Phil Knight related.

because none of it was true, the NCAA investigated and said the story wasn't credible

Arik Gilbert to announce his monthly entry into the transfer portal. His mom is taking his talents to the West Coast so his body doesn’t hurt anymore.

He played at Oregon. I’d suppose it’s something to do with the Ducks.

Those were the days when you were freaked out about Charles and Yahoo bringing the hammer.

I could see Cristobal getting popped for paying players with the way he’s recruiting.

But we all pay players and no one cares.

It’s either:
A. Addition of Colorado State, BYU, Boise State, and Nevada
B. Cal and/or UCLA dropping football for “budgetary reasons”
C. Nike running a combination Chinese Drug Ring/Prostitution Ring/Shoe Sweatshop literally out of the Oregon Athletic Office

This.

When a journalist has legitimate big news, they're usually paranoid as hell about 1) leaking any information, 2) giving every impacted party an opportunity to respond, 3) editing language every 10 seconds, and 4) ensuring that lawyers approve every single word.

I think you are onto something and it could be related to something of this nature. Since the CFP is expanding to 12 teams, maybe this forced some hands? I will go with...

USC, Arizona, Arizona St and BYU are joining the Big 12

And

Boise St and San Diego St are joining the AAC for football

Leaving the PAC 12 dead in the water...if we are talking about nuclear bombs lol..although the "ruin legacies" part is a little counter to it being anything realignment related.

Current rumors suggest it could potentially be a tim Donaghy situation...or something tied to ASU recruiting

Feel like people are throwing shite at the wall but it's what some are talking about

I doubt it’ll be an expose on how the largest donor to the University of Oregon is a modern day slave owner

Usually when people announce that they are going to announce something hard-hitting, it turns out to not be a big deal.
