Big 10 also starts its 2:30 deal on CBS next year and still has the noon slot in Fox.

Meanwhile, the SEC has consolidated every bit of its broadcasts rights with dogshit ESPN broadcasts. Way to go Greg Sankey.

quote:

West Virginia and Penn State will square off at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pa., and the game will be televised by NBC at 7:30pm ET. The contest will also be streamed live via Peacock.

Last August, the Big Ten Conference announced a new seven-year media rights agreement with CBS, FOX and NBC that begins on July 1, 2023 and extends through the 2029-30 season. The Big Ten will have three premier windows for college football broadcasts on Saturdays, beginning at noon ET with the Big Noon Kickoff on FOX. Games will then follow on CBS at 3:30pm ET and on NBC in primetime.

That quote isn't clear enough, but this upcoming season is the last year of SEC on CBS.

How are Nessler and Danielson going to gargle on Saban's balls now?

So who gets the "A" game when you have B10 on Fox, then B10 on CBS, then B10 on NBC?

ESPN might be dogshit, but I lost track of time watching CBS and their 4/12 broadcast.

Yes I will really miss having our top home games moved to 2:30 and listening to Gary Danielson for 5 hours

There aren’t enough “A” games to go around

I’ve found it odd how the B10 has played their biggest game at noon on Fox the past few years (or at least that’s how I’ve perceived it). But having a presence on three networks seems legit in further building the reach, although I wonder what the order will be on picking games.

Hate that SEC on CBS won’t be a thing anymore. Their run time was excessive and way to many ads but they have the best presentation of all the networks. Picture is always top notch. Great sound mixing. Always felt like a big game

CBS Sports had an article 6 years ago blaming ESPN for the games being too long citing Bama-Clemson II as ending at 12:30am E.T. on a Tuesday morning.

The writer said "networks could cut down on their 30-second commercials (average of 68 per game)."

I wonder if CBS fired him.

FBS games are an hour longer than Division III games and they both run approximately the same # of plays per game, 142 to 141 respectively.
