When I was a young dad, tickets to a game was a gift my wife would get me and it was usually $1-150 total for the day. Maybe 200 if somebody came with me. Parking is ridiculous on top of whatever Ticketmaster or StubHub upcharge.s.
Now it’s freaking miserable. Too much noise, piped in music, etc. My kids love games now and I’ve been to more sporting events in the last 2 years with my 14-18 YOs than I did the entirety of my 20s and 30s.
My SiL bought tickets to the Texas bowl for my kids and I was actually no happy about it. Because that means I had to buy a ticket and go through the whole thing instead of enjoying a game on the couch.

3 pointer has definitely changed the game: no defense, no fast breaks, no big man magic in the paint, no power forwards, softer game all the way around - therefor way less interesting.

This is probably just me, but it seemed like the league was, well, fun back then. Do you ever watch a game now where it looks like they are playing and enjoying it?
Too business like to be enjoyable. Too many players sitting every other game. Just not fun anymore.
Do you guys remember Jordan ever looking like he wanted to be anywhere other than the court?

This is an issue everywhere. At the McNesse game last year the crowd was full of middle to old age people who don't care to listen to this loud shite and it droned on and on and on.
Same thing with the local high school football team. Whoever was running pregame completely missed all the profanity and sex coming through the loudspeaker.
It's off putting and I used to tend bar for years and I can't believe the music could get worse.
And it has. To add to it they decided to turn the volume up to max I guess to drown out the lack of coherent sentences.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned all the rule changes for things that used to be traveling that are now legal. There's a large portion of people who don't care to watch that style of basketball.
