The B1G will now be on Fox, CBS and NBC…ALL day!! To say that isn’t significant is pure denial. Every time slot. From 12 to 330 to 7 to 10. That’s incredible exposure for the conference.

The contracts are just now being signed. The money from said deals is not yet in the pockets of the Big Ten schools. The shift in the next decade will be massive. The SEC is going to be like the small market baseball teams trying to compete every year with the larger markets with the bigger tv deals etc. It's happening. If you can't see what's coming you are either stupid or in denial.

I think it’s hilarious you think the SEC schools won’t be able to compete financially. I don’t know that I’ve seen more delusional posting than the couple posts from Ohio state fans in here.

Which is weird because they have complete control over the BIG right now. If anything all this newfound money that’s gonna have schools like Indiana suddenly stealing SEC recruits should make them nervous.

Yea because one year means everything. Give this 5-10 years, then let’s talk. This manifestation won’t happen over night, but the B1G is absolutely about to take another step up. With NIL, the B1G will be able to compete with anybody for talent.

It will remain Ohio State and everyone else for the foreseeable future. I can't even have an honest debate with you if you think the Big 10 also-rans are going to replace the SEC powers in the college football pecking order.

We've lived in an era for years now where every game has been accessible to everyone, easily.

Calm down.

When was the last time you couldn't watch an Ohio St or Michigan game?

The only real thing that matters is the dollar figure.

CBS broadcasts take all fricking day. Fact.

Except for the fact that the SEC keeps winning, putting teams (sometimes multiple teams) into the playoff, and wins most of the football national championships.

Remember that scene from Avengers Infinity War where the Avengers were fighting their hearts out, but ultimately fighting a losing battle against Thanos, just throwing their best shots at him, and he puts his finger on the side of his head and there’s like a little smudge of blood on his finger. The Big Ten is the Avengers and the SEC is Thanos

That poster thinks SEC fans are going to be forced to watch Jefferson Pilot broadcasts with the 3 Daves again.

Are you not familiar with NIL?

SEC fans are whistling through the graveyard.

The NIL money is not coming directly from the school/conferences. Now, I'm not naïve in thinking the coaches aren't fully involved in directing to whom the money goes and how much is given. But that is booster money. Outside of Ohio State, the desire to spend massive amounts of money on college football recruiting isn't as strong at Big 10 schools as it is at SEC schools. For a lot of wealthy people in Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Oklahoma, etc helping make their college program great is a high priority. Not as much in Iowa, Illinois, Maryland, Indiana, etc.

A separate discussion could be had regarding misplaced priorities. But in terms of NIL spending, overall, the desire is MUCH higher across the board in the SEC landscape vs. the Big 10 landscape

Ultimately, this is just another step towards the inevitability of high level college football being confined to essentially two huge conferences...Big 10 and SEC. At that point, a new "league" will be formed separate and apart from the NCAA.
