I’m still curious as to where this TV money is going to come from on a long-term basis as Americans continue to cut the cord from national networks and shift toward streaming services.

ESPN lost Disney a boat load of cash and it doesn’t appear to be turning around any time soon.

And all that money still won't land you the elite talent in the south.

I think it’s hilarious you think the SEC schools won’t be able to compete financially.

I agree. It's the B1G, the SEC and then everyone else in a much lower tier.

The B1G will now be on Fox, CBS and NBC…ALL day!! To say that isn’t significant is pure denial. Every time slot. From 12 to 330 to 7 to 10. That’s incredible exposure for the conference.

Best part is that they won't have any ties to ESPN. Guessing Gameday completely ignores the Big 10 even more now, but I don't care because I like the Big Noon Kickoff pregame show even better.

And what year was the last title before 2002? (That flag was bogus in the end zone)

That’s fine…Big Noon Kickoff is a far better product anyway.

Do y’all really want that boring product plastered all over the television all day?

So in past 30 years the B1G has only won 3.

97 Michigan
2002 OSU
2014 OSU

The SEC the past 30 years

92 Bama
96 Florida
98 Tennessee
2003 LSU
2006 Florida
2007 LSU
2008 Florida
2009 Bama
2010 Auburn
2011 Bama
2012 Bama
2015 Bama
2017 Bama
2019 LSU
2020 Bama
2021 UGA

So many titles, so many different schools. And if we actually went off true geography classified it by regions. The south dwarfs all other. Add in Miami, FSU and Clemson and it gets even uglier for the Midwest and Northeast

The best parts of the deal.

No ESPN
Only 7 years

With the landscape changing so quickly with both streaming and conference expansion, it is smart to sign short term deals.

Notre Dame media rights with NBC end in 2025. That’s when they’ll join the B1G…coincidentally…the new B1G media deal specifically sights increasing to 10 billion with future expansion. Connect the dots….

Yeah I think B1G will add ND and maybe Miami next round. Can’t remember the details on getting out of the ACC deal though.

Miami? I can see them going after tech to get into the south and Georgia. Tech is an AAU school. I don't see them adding Miami though. It does get them into the Florida with those rich recruiting grounds, but I just don't see it.

Yeah maybe Georgia Tech. I just see them striking in a new region with another brand name. Not sure AAU is going to matter as much going forward and it’s not like Miami is a bad school.

Regardless it’s going to be something like that and the SEC will have to respond in kind at that point.
