Why wouldn’t it be played in Buffalo or KC?

Cincinnati should have been the host just as a extra FU from the NFL to the Bengals.

Because Buffalo had the #1 seed going into the Monday Night game when their player got seriously injured and the game was canceled.

The NFL threw them a bone by not forcing them to travel to KC when that game would have been in Buffalo had they won.

Of course, the possible Divisional round matchup with Cincy and Buffalo would have been in Cincinnati had the Bengals won, but the NFL just told them to suck it up.

What was wrong with Indy? Seemed like the most fair place for fans of both teams to travel for.

There are still probably a lot of direct flights into Atlanta from both areas. Plus, while not guaranteed, the weather in Atlanta is more likely to be better than Indy in late January. If you are traveling from snow filled Buffalo or windy/cold KC, a warmer destination may be something you're more willing to spend coin on.

So we basically lose an epic AFC championship game out of this too. KC and Buffalo are some of the best environments out there. We the fans get robbed in all of this too.

Cleveland or Pittsburgh would have been ideal.

NFL again being a a joke about fricking domes. Both cold weather teams need to be playing in cold weather to go to the SB.

You’ll get robbed of your Mahomes/Allen matchup because Joe Burrow is going to crash the party. Again.

The neutral site scenario won’t even come into play.

Such a shame. I’ve been rooting for a rematch of this game all year and now I don’t want it because this would be a crime.

I actually think it would be awesome, because I think it'll still sell out and be like a big high stakes bowl game...with a 50/50 crowd split. I know if the Packers were in this type of situation I'd 100% find a way to go. And Atlanta is super accessible for both cities because of the major airport.

(Let's go Bills)
