I think the Falcons change their uniforms more than every other NFL franchise combined.

From the Vick era early 2000’s to 2020 they stayed relatively the same. Only changes were to color combos.
The last uniform from 2020-2025 were awful.
I like this new look but wish they’d embrace the throwback or a throwback inspired modern.

As part of the reveal, they announced they're still going to wear the black throwbacks with the red helmet occasionally. It's been an alternate the past few years so no change there.

Exactly. The Vick/Ryan era uniforms were unchanged for almost 20 years.
The crap they wore under Arthur Smith and Raheem Morris needed to be thrown into the sun. They were awful.
These are fine. Nothing fancy, but I think that's the point.

Aren't unprotected knees still illiegal?

Those late 70s/early 80s unis are the ones I grew up with. I'd love to see that color scheme again. I'd make one little tweak, add the thin gold stripes on the outside of the white helmet stripes like they did in the late 60s (being in Atlanta there was a vocal minority that didn't appreciate the UGA like red and black, so the gold/white helmet stripes were added to include Tech colors on the uniform).

Why are all the teams going for the one color sock - unitard / monotone look currently? It looks weird.

The Falcons' marketing dept explained this, as misguided as I think it was. In essence, that look is so iconic and beloved that they want to keep it a Throwback, and wear it several times per year.

I heard the Eagles' owner made a similar argument about their kelly green throwbacks. Basically that if it became the primary uniform again, it wouldn't be special anymore.
From a fan perspective, it is dumb. From a team and owner perspective, they see throwbacks as an avenue to sell more merch.
