Bogalusa is a rathole of epic proportions.
That’s all I’ve got.
That’s all I’ve got.

What if it’s a playoff game?
Because that’s coming soon

Principals of schools in their district voted to move the game to a neutral site.
The Bogalusa mayor begged the LHSAA to reconsider.

lots of backroom wheeling and dealing going on

Why didn't LSHAA reject the forfeit and make both reams play the game in empty stadium with only family members of both teams present
Posted on 11/2/22 at 9:39 am to rt3
My son played just north of there against West Marion…it was kind of crazy, but we went.

All joking about Bogalusa aside (and it is warranted...that place is a shithole), has the violence there really gotten THAT BAD to the point where a football game can't be safely played there?

That’s not a big deal to some people though, apparently happens all over the state on a regular basis and they just play through it.

Shootout happened just outside stadium gates. So I'm not sure playing a game there with only family inside the bleachers would be enough to calm any fears that Albany has.
Bogalusa presented an enhanced security plan focusing both inside and outside the stadium and it still wasn't enough for them.
Also I'm 100 percent sure the LHSAA doesn't want the liability of forcing a team to play and gosh forbid something happened.
Albany has a right to forfeit and suffer the consequences thereof.

It was a one-time incident that was really really bad and needs to be addressed.
I would guess long term they probably need to increase the security premimeter.
Chalmette is supposed to play there next year so I hope theu get it figured out.

You are INCORRECT. False information. Principals of the district made the decision initially and then once a comprehensive safety plan was presented, at least one principal reversed their decision allowing Bogalusa to play at home.

Faircitytiger is correct. Pine changed their vote after a safety plan was put in place.

When Bogalusa host a playoff game and if/when there is a fight/shooting/crime Albany will have the “ I told you so”

Hahahahah I would spend the night in a tent in downtown Bogalusa before staying out on Paris rd after dark!

Albany ppl are definitely old school LP. That may have played a part but safety wise I don’t blame them. Bogalusa is a shite hole. Had to go to a funeral Saturday in Poplarville and I took Hwy 21 and went through there because it was a little shorter. The way back I went around on 59 and 12.

I’ve been there a few times.
High schools is reasonably nice and I never had concerns for safety while there.
I think you have a poor grasp of the general opinion. People respect a decision that protects the kids.

He’s saying Albany is full of white people
It’s irrelevant.
But I’m from LP and I hate Albany. So whatever.
